No WAY!

I can't believe how long it's been since my last post!  For this I apologize.  Jeff, Cooper and I just got back from a week-long vacation in Florida.  Man was it nice!  We went to visit Jeff's parents in Venice but along the way we stopped in St. Augustine to visit a friend of Jeff's and his family.  On the way home from Florida we stopped in Savannah to visit another friend.  We did this because there was no way we could drive straight through with our 4 month old!  That in itself is another whole blog post.  Anyway...  the whole family went along for the trip.  My brother Kenny and his wife Kelley, my parents Linda and Jerry, Kelley's parents Gary and Christine, and who I often refer to as my "second parents" Bonnie and Dickie.  We had a blast!!  As always, the trip flew by and now we are back here in the cold, wet, Richmond, VA.  Aaahh - fun.  (you know I can't help but notice my last post was written on a cold and rainy Friday.. hhmm..)   Here are just a few pictures from the trip: _MG_1138

I wish I could post all of the pics but it would probably take me all day.  We hope to make this an annual event!!  It's so great to spend time making wonderful memories with the people you care about the most.  There's nothing better.

Well you may have noticed that there are some changes to my blog.  I finally figured out how to add subscriptions!  Yay!  I also revamped my logo.  I'd love to hear what you think!  You'll notice the photography logo on the homepage of my web-site and I used the tree as the part of the logo for the blog.  No matter what the text might be I plan on using the tree as my "branding".

I recently found an absolutely wonderful group, Birth Matters.  I've linked you to the evidence based care section of their web-site.  If you are pregnant and interested in learning more about natural childbirth or simply need support, this is a great starting point.  You'll find everything you need to know here such as how to choose a provider, where to deliver your baby, how to write a birth plan, postpartum help and much, much more.  I'm still in the process of reading a lot of the information on the site myself, but so far have been really impressed with the information offered.  I know I left off in my last post talking about my journey and how even the most pre-pared women may sometimes end up with an outcome they had not hoped for.  I will continue to touch on that subject in my next post.  I promise it won't take me a month to write it.  :)  It's been super hectic around here the past few weeks with vacation and the baby so hopefully I can write more about my journey the beginning of next week.  Much love to you all!!
