Alright! I'm so stoked about this it's redonk. As you may have read in some of my previous posts I've been wanting to merge the doula and photography businesses together as one for ages. Finally. Finally. FINALLY. It's happened. The name was picked. Finally. The logo was designed. Finally. The domain name was secured. FINALLY! I'll say this, I have a real hard time making big decisions. I mean I honestly think I've been going back in forth in my head on this for something like a year. Yeah, yeah, I have a lot going on in my life. But c'mon. A YEAR? Ok. Well it's done now - and I'm SO FREAKIN EXCITED! So... just to explain what exactly has happened... The biggest (and really the only) change is the name. I still own Nicole Simon Photography and Nature's Way Labor & Birth Support but instead of running two separate companies I'm running them as one now. Sweet July offers the same services in both photography and doula work as the previously separate companies offered. So no worries, no big crazy merger policy changes going on here. Just a brand new name. Brand new web-address. Happy Nikki.
And just to throw out a little bit of randomness for you... My husband and I went to see Skydog (an Allman Brothers Tribute band) at Forest Hill Park a few weeks ago. One Sunday evening per month the park hosts 'Music in the Park' a FREE event where people bring their kids, their dinners (or snacks), their coolers (hell-yeah) and everyone chills out in the grass listening to great tunes for a few hours. Anyhow, check out this girl doing some hula hoop magic. This image doesn't do justice to her moves. She kept that dang hula hoop moving for an entire song and she was doing all kinds of sweet moves with it. My husband and I were in awe. I think we both had our jaws on the ground. I'm pretty sure I have a solid girl crush. *check out Hills and Heights for more information on Music in the Park*
